UniConnectly — Child Safety Standards

UniConnectly is a social platform designed for individuals aged 18 and over — university students, alumni, communities and institutions. The platform does not target minors. No content, behaviour or attempt relating to the sexual abuse and exploitation of children is permitted; such content and behaviour is removed immediately upon detection and reported to the legal authorities.

The definitions used in this document are as follows:

• CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation): covers all forms, including grooming a child for the purposes of sexual exploitation, threatening or blackmailing a child by means of sexual material (sextortion), trafficking a child for sexual purposes, and any kind of sexual abuse directed at children.
• CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material): any image, video, text or other material that depicts or describes the sexual abuse of a child.

The following are strictly prohibited on UniConnectly and result in permanent closure of the account:

• Producing, uploading, sharing, soliciting or linking to CSAM
• Any communication intended to groom or prepare a child for sexual purposes
• Blackmail using sexual material (sextortion) or any attempt at child trafficking
• Content that sexualises minors, or behaviour that normalises such content
• Any attempt to use the platform for the purpose of harming children

• Age limit: the platform is intended for users aged 18 and over; minors are not targeted.
• Content moderation: all user-generated content (posts, confessions, messages, media, events and announcements) is subject to the community rules and to these standards; content in breach is removed.
• Authorised review: community and institution administrators, together with the UniConnectly moderation team, have the authority to remove inappropriate content and to suspend or close accounts.
• Rapid response: reports relating to child safety are reviewed as a priority and without delay.

UniConnectly allows users to report safety concerns, including child safety, from within the application:

• Content (events, announcements, confessions, profiles and similar) can be reported directly through the "Report" option shown on that content.
• The UniConnectly team can be contacted directly through the Contact / Feedback screen.
• Reports may also be sent by e-mail to the address given below.

Reported child safety cases are reviewed as a priority; where a breach is confirmed, the content is removed, the account concerned is closed, and a report is made to the authorities where required.

Where CSAM is detected or reported on our platform:

• The content is removed immediately and access to it is closed.
• The account or accounts concerned are permanently closed.
• The case is reported to the competent authorities in accordance with applicable law. In Türkiye we cooperate with the Cybercrime units of the Directorate General of Security, and where necessary with international bodies (for example NCMEC).
• Evidence required for legal proceedings is retained in accordance with the legislation and shared with the authorities.

UniConnectly undertakes to comply with all applicable local and national laws concerning the safety of children (including the relevant provisions of the Turkish Penal Code, Law No. 5651, the KVKK and related legislation) and to make the necessary reports to the relevant regional and national authorities. We also comply with the Google Play Child Safety Standards Policy.
